The Fayoum Endowments Directorate continued to implement an expanded cleaning campaign in all the mosques of the governorate, under the patronage of Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, and in the presence of Salama Abdel Razek, Director of the Fayoum Endowments Directorate, Sheikh Yahya Muhammad, Director of Da’wah, and directors of sub-departments, and with the participation of mosque workers, as part of the intensive preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, and in the interest of preparing the houses of God in the best possible way.
Campaign participants confirmed that Preservation The cleanliness of mosques is a legal requirement and a civilized behavior, due to the sanctity and great status of the houses of God in the souls of Muslims, pointing out that taking care of the cleanliness, maintenance and perfuming of mosques is an act of worship and closeness to God Almighty, as this creates the appropriate faith atmosphere for the performance of worship.
They added that caring for the houses of God is the approach of the Companions and Followers and the behavior of the righteous, citing the words of God Almighty: “In it are men who love to purify themselves, and God loves those who purify themselves.” [التوبة: 108]They stressed that glorifying mosques and taking care of their affairs is evidence of society’s awareness of the role and status of the mosque, and a symbol of sophistication and civilization.
The Fayoum Endowments Directorate confirmed that this campaign comes within the Ministry of Endowments’ ongoing plan to care for mosques and prepare them to receive crowds of worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan, in a manner befitting the sanctity and holiness of the houses of God, and contributing to providing a safe and prepared faith environment for worship.
