The Cabinet Media Center explained that within the framework of the promotional efforts exerted by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to enhance Egypt’s share of the global tourism movement, especially from the Asian markets, especially the Chinese market, the Ministry, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, organized a tourist convoy to promote the Egyptian tourist destination in three major Chinese cities, which included Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, which are considered among the most important economic and tourism centers in the People’s Republic of China.

He continued: During one of the events held in the city of Shanghai, the CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion received the award for Egypt winning the title of “Most Promising Destination 2026” from the global Tongcheng platform, in an achievement that reflects the confidence of the Chinese market in the competitiveness of the Egyptian tourist destination, and confirms the increasing growth in rates of demand for visiting it during the coming period.
He stressed that during the activities of the caravan, a number of professional meetings were held with professional partners in China, during which mechanisms for enhancing joint cooperation and increasing the rates of incoming tourist flows to Egypt were discussed, including implementing joint promotional campaigns, organizing familiarization trips, in addition to developing tourism programs that suit the interests of Chinese tourists, in conjunction with the boom witnessed in direct air traffic between the two countries.
The various tourism components that characterize the Egyptian destination were also reviewed, and the various tourism types and products it offers that combine cultural, beach, recreational, environmental, and other tourism, in a way that meets the aspirations of various tourist segments, especially Chinese tourists.
