Chicken prices witnessed remarkable stability on the poultry stock exchange today, Friday, as a kilogram at the farm recorded between 95 and 96 pounds, while the price to the consumer in various regions ranged between 105 and 110 pounds.

This price stability coincides with the country’s success in… Achieving self-sufficiency Of white poultry by approximately 97%, with a daily production of up to 4 million chickens, which enhances the ability of the local market to meet the increasing demand and stabilize costs.
The government is currently seeking to open new export horizons towards Arab countries, Africa, and East Asia, with the aim of supporting foreign exchange reserves, benefiting from the World Organization for Animal Health’s accreditation of Egyptian companies as establishments free of bird flu. To achieve this strategy, the General Authority for Veterinary Services is intensifying its monitoring campaigns to ensure product quality, while expanding the use of locally produced vaccines to protect poultry wealth from epidemic diseases.
Prices of chicks and Sasso and Baladi breeds
The prices of Sasso poultry on the public stock exchange stabilized at 105 pounds per kilo, while the prices of local poultry reached levels ranging between 125 and 130 pounds per consumer. Regarding the breeding sector, the price of a white chick stabilized between 24 and 25 pounds, while the price of a Sasso chick ranged around 10 pounds, and the price of white mothers recorded 67 pounds on the farm, which reflects a balance in the inputs to poultry production in its various specialties.
The Ministry of Agriculture continues to offer new investment opportunities in desert areas to develop this vital industry, of which Egypt consumes about 150,000 tons per month. These expansions aim to modernize the production system and link it to advanced slaughterhouses and feed production units.
