Today, Friday, February 27, 2026, the work of the first phase of the Engineers Syndicate elections will begin, in conjunction with the various governorates across the Republic. This phase includes electing the president and members of the unions’ sub-councils, in addition to the members of the engineering divisions’ boards of directors, under full judicial supervision from the Administrative Prosecution Authority, in implementation of the directives of Counselor Mohamed El-Shenawy, Chairman of the Authority.
According to official sources, the elections are being held in 34 electoral headquarters distributed across the republic, under the supervision of 382 advisors from members of the administrative prosecution, assisted by 661 employees of the administrative apparatus, ensuring the regularity and discipline of the electoral process during the various stages of voting and counting.
These elections come within the framework of the union rights of the Engineers Syndicate, amid regulatory procedures and judicial supervision aimed at enhancing integrity and transparency, and preserving the right of members of the General Assembly to cast their votes within the committees designated for that purpose. Supervision is distributed among 26 general committees and 303 subcommittees nationwide.
It is expected that the committees will witness a turnout from members of the General Assembly to participate in selecting their representatives within the sub-unions and engineering divisions, in a step that reflects the importance of this entitlement in supporting union work and activating the role of engineers in the various governorates.
