The Dakahlia Water and Sanitation Company announced a drinking water outage on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., for approximately 4 hours, in the city of Aja and a number of villages affiliated with the center and city of Aja.
The company explained that the outage includes: the city of Aja, Al-Lawandi, Al-Bilouq, Nusa Al-Ghait, Nusa Al-Bahr, Sanbakht, Talbant, Al-Deirs, Mit Abu Al-Harith, Minya Samnoud, Jarrah, Kafr Al-Mandara, Al-Mandara, Al-Basatin, Al-Salamiyah, Shiwa Al-Sharqiya, Baqtaras, Deirb Baqtaras, Burj Al-Nour, Al-Ikhwan facility, Al-Bahou Fariq, Al-Sabkha, Shanfas, Shubra Al-Bahou, Shubra Qarmot, Ezb Al-Bahou, Ezb Al-Arab, and Kafr Al-Sharaqwa.
The company attributed the reason for the outage to carrying out emergency maintenance work at the Aja Surface Water Facility, stressing that these works come within the framework of maintaining operating efficiency and ensuring an improvement in the level of service provided to citizens.
The company appealed to citizens, government agencies, local units, authorities, hospitals, and bakeries to meet their drinking water needs during the outage period, until maintenance work is completed and water gradually returns to the affected areas.
