Cairo 24 learned from its sources that the meeting was held at Hussein Labib’s house, and witnessed the presence of 4 members of the Zamalek Club’s Board of Directors, accompanied by the club’s president.
The sources explained that the council members listened to John Edward’s plan for the coming period, in addition to his vision for strengthening the first team during the January transfer period.
The sources indicated that the Zamalek administration confirmed its support for John Edward and Ahmed Abdel Raouf to lead the football team during the coming period.
Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the technical director of the first football team at Zamalek Club, asked his assistant Amer Sabry to prepare a detailed report on the most prominent players in the youth sector who are candidates for promotion to the first team during the coming period, in preparation for the return of training next Thursday.
Emergency in Zamalek to solve the crisis of foreigners’ dues
In another context, Cairo 24 learned from its sources that there are ongoing attempts by Zamalek club officials to pay the dues of foreign players, to avoid them terminating their contract with the club.
The crisis between Salah Mosaddeq and Abdel Hamid Maali and the termination of their contracts caused a state of anxiety among Zamalek officials, due to the failure to pay dues, and work to end this file as quickly as possible.
