The competent investigation authorities decided to renew the detention of the wife accused of killing her husband, known in the media as the Marj Groom, for a period of 15 days pending the case.

The details of the incident are due to the accused stabbing her husband with a penetrating stab inside the marital residence in the Marj area, following family disputes, which resulted in his death as a result of his injury, one day before celebrating Christmas.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim suffered a fatal injury to the chest, and was taken to the hospital in an attempt to save him, but he breathed his last upon his arrival, while the security services arrested the wife, who admitted to committing the incident.
The investigating authorities listened to the statements of the victim’s sister and a number of eyewitnesses. They also ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death, and requested investigations into the circumstances of the accident, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures.
