declared a province Alexandria Establishing 427 fixed and mobile exhibitions and outlets as part of the implementation of an integrated plan to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of providing food commodities and basic needs to citizens.
The governorate indicated that goods are offered at reduced prices ranging between 20% and 30%, which contributes to alleviating the burden on citizens and ensuring market stability.
She explained that the outlets are distributed across the geographical scope of Alexandria Governorate, with the addition of 97 new locations during the month of Ramadan, taking into account population densities in various regions and neighborhoods, ensuring that goods reach citizens easily and in various parts of the governorate.
Exhibitions Welcome Ramadan
She stressed that Welcome Ramadan exhibitions aim to increase the supply of food commodities, vegetables and fruits, in addition to providing meat, poultry and dairy products at reasonable prices, while expanding fixed and mobile sales outlets, intensifying market control campaigns to ensure the safety and quality of products, and confronting any monopolistic practices or overpricing.
The Ahlan Ramadan exhibitions plan includes holding 4 major comprehensive exhibitions geographically distributed in the east, center and west of the governorate, at the fairgrounds in the first Montazah district, Al-Mansheya in the Al-Jumrok district, the Misr Station in the Central district, and the training center on the desert road in the Amriya region, in order to achieve balance in the distribution of services at the governorate level.
In addition to holding 10 permanent Welcome Ramadan exhibitions in each neighborhood in areas with high population densities, in addition to organizing 10 “one-day market” markets that operate consecutively over 84 days during the holy month of Ramadan, covering all neighborhoods of Alexandria Governorate.
The implementation of this plan comes within the framework of Alexandria Governorate’s keenness to achieve a balance between supply and demand, provide citizens’ needs at reasonable prices, and support the most needy groups, in line with the directives of the political leadership to achieve food security and improve the quality of life for citizens.
