Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor, confirmed AssiutThe maintenance and development of public lighting lamps in all centers and neighborhoods continues, within the framework of the governorate’s plan to raise the efficiency of the lighting system and improve the level of services provided to citizens, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Maintenance and development of lighting fixtures in Assiut

The Governor of Assiut explained that the local unit of the center and city of Abu Tig, headed by Mohamed Hassan Al-Deeb, head of the center, continues to carry out periodic maintenance work for lighting poles and floodlights, which included repairing broken lights and changing damaged bulbs in a number of areas in the village of Dawaina, including the West Al-Balad area and the parking area, in addition to reviewing the electrical connections and ensuring their safety on the main roads within the center’s scope.

The governor pointed out that the governorate spares no effort in providing the necessary support to raise the efficiency of public lighting and make the streets appear appropriately civilized, which contributes to preserving the safety of citizens, improving the quality of life, improving the level of services in various sectors, and restoring the civilized face of Assiut Governorate.

Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr directed the heads of local units in centers, neighborhoods, and villages to continuously follow up on lighting maintenance work, and quickly repair faults as soon as possible, while responding immediately to citizens’ complaints related to public lighting and working to solve them as quickly as possible.

Assiut Governorate called on citizens to report any malfunctions or complaints, as the Central Operations Room designated hotlines to receive complaints 24 hours a day, through the numbers (114), (088/2135858), and (088/2135727), in addition to the number of the unified government complaints system (16528) affiliated with the Council of Ministers.
