Dr. Ismail Al-Haddad, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, conducted an extensive inspection tour to find out the latest preparations and final equipment at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Mosque. He was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of the Al-Azhar Corridors, and Dr. Hani Odeh, General Director. Al-Azhar Mosque.
This is within the framework of the ongoing directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, on the necessity of preparing the atmosphere of faith and providing all means of comfort to the visitors of Al-Azhar Mosque during the holy month.
Allocate specific paths for international students.

During his tour, Dr. Al-Haddad paid special attention to the system of entry and exit of worshipers, as he inspected the new organizational barriers that were introduced this year and aim to ensure the flow of movement and prevent stampedes, especially at the peak times of Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers and iftar time, and allocating specific paths for incoming students and mosque visitors to ensure their access to places of prayer and science lessons easily and conveniently, as well as distributing the tasks of administrative security personnel to direct worshipers towards the designated squares.
The tour also included an inspection of the periodic maintenance work carried out to preserve the historical splendor of the mosque, where he followed up on the maintenance work on the historical doors to ensure their efficiency and aesthetic appearance, and also inspected the comprehensive maintenance work on the restrooms and ablution places, with an emphasis on raising their efficiency to accommodate the expected huge human densities, especially during the times of collective breakfast and prayers, and reviewing the internal and external lighting networks and sound systems to ensure that the voice of readers reaches clearly all corners of the mosque and its external courtyards.


At the conclusion of his tour, Dr. Ismail Al-Haddad stressed that “Al-Azhar Mosque is not just a place of worship, but rather it is a scientific beacon and a direction of prayer for Muslims from all over the world,” stressing the necessity of working as one team to present an image worthy of the honorable status of Al-Azhar.
For his part, Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad explained that the Al-Azhar corridors have prepared an intensive program of lessons and intellectual forums that will be held around the clock during the holy month, coinciding with the construction preparations that the mosque is currently witnessing.
Dr. confirmed. Hani Odeh said, “Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of tranquility and reverence for the guests of God, and to overcome all obstacles facing foreign and Egyptian students alike, so that they can perform their rituals in complete reassurance.”
