Dr. Reverend Andre Zaki, Head of the Evangelical Community in Egypt, sent a letter to Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, regarding Resolution No. 346 of 2025, regarding holiday leaves.

The Evangelical community sends a letter to the Prime Minister regarding holiday vacations: The importance of unifying holiday vacations for all Christian Egyptians

The speech emphasized the importance of unifying holiday holidays for all Egyptian Christians, in a way that enhances the principles of citizenship and equality, and contributes to consolidating the values of national unity.

Earlier, Rev. Dr. Andre Zaki, head of the Evangelical community in Egypt, confirmed that the church building law issued in 2016 is one of the most important laws that brought about a radical transformation in the file of places of worship, and contributed significantly to codifying the conditions of churches and facilitating dealing with this file after decades of complexity.

Zaki explained, during television statements, that the Evangelical community includes about 1,500 local churches, of which only 500 churches were licensed before the issuance of the law, noting that after the issuance of the law, requests were submitted to legalize the status of 1,070 unlicensed churches, in addition to 1,800 conference and retreat houses that were also covered by the law.

He added that the latest official reports indicate that the status of 613 churches and conference houses has been legalized so far, pointing out that this number was achieved in only 7 to 8 years, compared to 200 years during which only 500 churches were licensed, which reflects the scale of the achievement achieved.
