The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, will deliver a speech today, Saturday, at three o’clock, during the memorial ceremony held by the party in the city of Baalbek, according to what Lebanese media reported.
The anticipated speech comes in light of the rapid political and security developments taking place in the Lebanese arena, especially against the backdrop of the recent Israeli attacks on areas in the Bekaa and the South, in addition to the escalation of the internal debate about sovereign issues and constitutional entitlements.
In his speech, Qasim is expected to address developments on the ground, the party’s position on regional developments, as well as internal issues related to parliamentary eligibility and the security reality.
The ongoing regional escalation between Iran and the United States
It is also expected to present the party’s vision for the next stage in light of the existing regional escalation between Iran and the United States of America, and to provide a reading of the current political equations and their repercussions on Lebanon.
