Basma Ahmed, the owner of the video “Get out, you coward,” recounted new and shocking details about her marital crisis, which sparked widespread interaction on social media.

Basma said during an interview with the journalist Nihal Tayel that she married her colleague at the university out of love, and lived with him for 11 years of trust and stability, stressing that she never doubted his sincerity and considered him “the best husband in the world.”

However, things changed suddenly last year after she returned from a summer trip, where he began to treat her coldly and harshly, and told her that he was always busy at work and could not come except on Thursdays and Fridays.

She added that she was surprised by a call from a woman who told her that her husband had married her, and sent her his location. Basma went to the aforementioned address, where she found his car parked there. When she asked the property guard, he confirmed to her that he constantly saw him entering one of the apartments with a woman.

She continued that she began searching inside the apartment, only to be surprised by the presence of her husband hiding inside one of the rooms, confirming that he had come out to her from inside the closet.

She indicated that he beat her during the confrontation, saying: “He forgot everything we had between us,” explaining that she did nothing but look at him and recall their memories together, wondering how the family had humiliated him so easily.

Basma confirmed that her husband later divorced her for the sake of the other woman, after she stipulated that she would not remain a second wife on his behalf.

She also revealed that her ex-husband’s mother invited the same woman to her home during the month of Ramadan, in the presence of her children.
