Mohamed Youssef, Sports Director of Al-Ahly Club and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International U-16 Championship, was keen to welcome all attendees at the reception of delegations participating in the first edition of the tournament, stressing that this edition will be the beginning of a series of international tournaments that the club plans to hold in the future.
Mohamed Youssef’s statements at the International Junior Championship ceremony
Youssef said: I welcome all attendees to the opening ceremony of the first international championship for juniors under 16 years old. I say that it is the first because we in Al-Ahly Club seek to launch new tournaments in the coming years. I extend my thanks to Al-Ahly Football Company and Life Adventure Company for their great efforts that enhance the completion of the tournament in a manner worthy of the name and reputation of Al-Ahly Club.
He added that Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, club president and general football supervisor, was very keen on holding the tournament, to support the youth sector and provide strong contact that contributes to the development of emerging players, in light of his continued interest in this vital sector within the club.
Youssef pointed out that the organizing committee was keen, in parallel with the tournament activities, to prepare an integrated tourism program for the participating teams, with the aim of stimulating tourism and introducing delegations to the most prominent Egyptian tourist attractions, based on the important societal role played by Al-Ahly.
