Alexandria Governor’s directives to expand the Alexandria-Matrouh Road
Khaled stressed the need to raise the efficiency of the road, as it is one of the most important vital axes in the west of the governorate, in order to achieve safe traffic flow worthy of a stable daily life for the Alexandrian citizen, pointing to the reorganization of traffic movement and the expansion of the road river.
The Governor of Alexandria stressed the importance of installing concrete barriers (New Jersey) on the Alexandria-Matrouh Road in front of Mabaret Al-Asafra and in front of the General Traffic Department at Kilometer 21, which contributes to the safe separation of directions and achieving traffic flow.
The Governor of Alexandria directed the Traffic Department to quickly remove the violating signs and bulldozers, and to establish an organized traffic circle in front of the Kilometer 21 stop, in order to achieve sustainable traffic flow and contribute to reducing the travel time for citizens.
In addition to preparing specialized traffic studies to present the proposed alternatives for transporting traffic coming from the direction of the northern coast to the marine arm and inside Agami, in order to achieve traffic fluidity and prevent traffic congestion.
In addition to organizing the movement and waiting of taxis and heavy transport within the region, in a way that ensures traffic discipline and maintains the flow of movement, through a joint coordination committee that includes the Al-Ajami district, the Traffic Department, Facilities, and Roads, which is responsible for following up on implementation and applying solutions on the ground according to an integrated vision and specific timetables.
