The artist passed away today, Friday, February 27, 2026 Kitty Futsaki At the age of 96, in her home in the Greek capital, Athens, after a long life full of artistic works, as she was one of the most prominent stars of Egyptian cinema in the 1940s and 1950s.
The Greek doctor and writer Manolis Tasoulas, her close friend in her final years, confirmed the news of her death.

Performance dancer Kitty Futsaki is one of the most prominent names whose star shone in the world of belly dance and Egyptian cinema during the 1950s and 1960s. She made a remarkable artistic imprint at a time when art was going through a golden phase of creativity.
Kitty was born in Alexandria in 1927 to a Greek family, and her artistic talent began at a young age, where she learned ballet and then developed into belly and show dancing, which qualified her to work in theaters and casinos before entering the world of cinema.
During her artistic career, Kitty participated in many productions, and her presence was distinguished by her dancing and distinguished performance, the most prominent of which was: Ismail Yassin’s Goblin, one of her most famous roles that she performed with the late comedian Ismail Yassin. She also performed Ismail Yassin in the Insane Hospital.

The artist’s last work was her participation in the film Mind and Money, which was shown in 1965 and revolved around Fakhr El-Din who believes that love is the foundation of everything, and bets a friend of his that he can live happily with his beloved Shams Al-Aseel, but his friend tells him that money is the foundation of everything. He is the one who can buy off the debts of others and meet people’s needs. When Fakhr al-Din meets his beloved Shams, and tells her that he will propose to her, he tells her about the bet he had with his friend about soundness of mind and the power of money, and events follow.
