The details of the incident are due to the security services receiving a report from a woman accusing the candidate for the House of Representatives for Old Egypt and Manial, Ahmed Ragab, of insulting and defaming her, through social media sites.
The competent authorities examine the details of the report to determine its circumstances and ensure its authenticity. This is to take the necessary legal action regarding the incident.
In a separate context, the security services arrested candidate Ahmed Ragab on charges of inciting others to publish videos against Taher Al-Kholy in the Old Cairo and Manial districts.
The security services received a report stating that a person was incited by publishing videos against the candidate Taher Al-Khouli. The security services immediately moved to the place of the report, and upon examination it was found that the perpetrator of the incident was the brother of the candidate, Ahmed Ragab.
He was arrested and taken to the police office, until he was presented to the competent investigation authorities, and the necessary report on the incident was prepared.
