The incident occurred when the security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate received a notification from the Rescue Police, stating that a small body had been found in the Amriya canal.
Immediately, the security services, accompanied by an ambulance, moved to the site of the report, imposed a security cordon around the place, and the river rescue recovered the victim’s body and took the necessary legal measures.
The initial inspection revealed that the body was that of a little girl called Donia, N.G., who was 5 years old. The body was transferred to the morgue of Al-Amriya General Hospital at the disposal of the investigation authorities. A report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the investigation authorities were notified to begin their investigations into the incident.
