Media reports revealed an unexpected move by the Senegalese national airline, to support Senegalese national team In the African Nations semi-final match scheduled for next Wednesday, within the semi-finals of the 2025 African Nations Championship held in Morocco.

According to what the Senegalese newspaper LE SOLEIL reported, the national airline in Senegal launched a campaign to search for fan Mohamed Saliou Ndiaye, who was famous for using a laser against the Egyptian national team players in the famous match between the two teams in the final stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
According to the newspaper, the Senegalese airline pledged to bear the fan’s travel and accommodation expenses to encourage the Senegalese team against Egypt, in next Wednesday’s match, scheduled for the Tangier Grand Stadium.
In a statement published on its digital platforms, Air Senegal called on anyone who has information that might help find the fan or a member of his family to contact it quickly, especially via private messages or by reporting it in the comments.
The company indicated that it aims, through this initiative, to exploit the popular enthusiasm surrounding the national team and to confirm its support for the Teranga Lions. However, it should be noted that laser devices are among the items banned in stadiums during the Africa Cup of Nations.
