Mahmoud Al-Khayami Post wrote on his personal Facebook account, saying: Today I submitted my resignation from the Egyptian Society of Authors and Composers, Sassero, and after suffering with myself and terrible hesitation, I took the final decision with God’s help, and I have nothing but love, affection, and respect for all members of the General Assembly and esteemed members of the Board of Directors, awaiting the Board of Directors’ approval of my resignation.
He added: I sincerely apologize to my colleagues who were asking me to run for elections. I ask you not to call and I sincerely apologize for not responding. The matter, God willing, is over and I want to go through a new personal experience in trying to obtain my rights. God willing, I will be able to do this on my own. I thank the Board of Directors headed by Dr. Medhat Al-Adl.
He continued: I thank all the members of the Board of Directors, and I am waiting for the resignation to be activated and approved before the end of the week, God Almighty willing.. and God is the success.
