This morning, Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, conducted a field tour to inspect a number of streets and squares in the West Mansoura neighborhood, to monitor the level of public cleanliness and the state of occupancy, and to determine the extent of the executive bodies’ commitment to improving the city’s cultural appearance and facilitating the movement of citizens.

Dakahlia Governor: A new plan to reorganize bathrooms and streets in western Mansoura

During the tour, the governor stressed the necessity of daily monitoring of the cleaning system and lifting occupancy immediately, stressing that the street is the true mirror of the performance of the executive agencies, and that maintaining the decent appearance of the city comes at the top of the executive work priorities, in a way that achieves citizens’ satisfaction and reflects the civilized face of the capital of Dakahlia.

In this context, Major General Tariq Marzouq directed the implementation of a comprehensive plan to reorganize and establish public bathrooms in a number of vital areas with high densities, to relieve citizens and provide a decent service that keeps pace with their daily needs, especially in gathering places and citizen waiting areas.

The governor explained that it was decided to implement:

  • 2 public bathrooms on Al-Mashaya Street, next to the governorate’s parking
  • 2 public bathrooms on Cihan Street to meet the needs of hospital visitors
  • 2 public bathrooms on New Sika Street

This is in accordance with technical and cultural requirements that ensure continuous cleanliness, ease of use, and preservation of the civilized appearance of the streets.

The Governor of Dakahlia stressed that this step comes within an integrated vision to improve the level of services provided to citizens, pointing to the state’s great interest in developing the service infrastructure within cities, which contributes to achieving a safe and healthy civilized environment for all.

He also stressed the continuation of surprise field tours in all neighborhoods and centers, to follow up on the implementation of directives on the ground, and to deal decisively with any negligence, stressing that the citizen will remain at the forefront of the concerns of the governorate’s executive apparatus.
