The Beni Suef Health Directorate continued implementing free medical convoys as part of the Presidential Initiative for a Dignified Life, as Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, stressed the importance of continuing to organize these convoys and bringing health services to the villages most in need, which contributes to alleviating the burden on citizens and ensuring that they receive the necessary medical care near their place of residence.

In this context, Dr. Hani Jumaa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, explained in his report to the governor that a medical, therapeutic and awareness convoy was carried out yesterday, Tuesday, in the village of Naeem, affiliated with the Beni Suef Center, while adhering to preventive and precautionary measures.

Participating in the convoy work were: Dr. Yasser Khairy Al-Sharqawi, convoy coordinator, Dr. Muhammad Khalaf Abdel Hamid, medical supply officer, Taha Kamal Hajjaj, financial and administrative officer, Eid Farag Farag, information officer, and Ahmed Muhammad Ajami, clinic and site preparation officer, where medical services were provided through 3 clinics in the specialties of internal medicine, children and women.

The efforts of the convoy resulted in the medical examination of 325 citizens and the provision of free treatment to them, in addition to performing 23 ultrasound cases, and health initiative services, which included: women’s health 52, kidney disease 47, questionnaires 31, audiology 4, with a total of 134 services within the initiatives, bringing the total number of services provided by the convoy to 1,172 free medical services from which the people of the village and the surrounding areas benefited.

The convoy also included the implementation of health education seminars that benefited 60 citizens, covering various topics, most notably: prevention of the Corona virus, pregnancy follow-up, family planning, breast cancer, food safety, the dangers of drug misuse, and the importance of breastfeeding, in addition to the physiological changes of women after the menstrual cycle stops.
