Saw a city AswanThe integrated management of municipal waste, in cooperation with the local unit of the center and city of Aswan, raised the quantities of garbage, waste, and accumulations from the streets, main squares, gardens, and public parks, as a result of the celebrations of the people of Aswan on New Year’s Eve, and welcoming the new Gregorian year 2026.
The amounts of garbage, waste and accumulations amounted to about 8 tons, with the aim of restoring the city to its cultural and aesthetic appearance.
Immediate intervention using management equipment
For his part, Engineer Ahmed Halfawi, Director of Municipal Waste Management, explained that in implementation of the instructions of the Governor of Aswan, immediate intervention was made using management equipment and the local unit of the center and city of Aswan, under the supervision of Ibrahim Suleiman, the head of the city, and the quantities of garbage, waste and accumulations were removed from the places that witnessed gatherings of citizens and visitors to celebrate the arrival of the new year.
He explained that the work was carried out before and after the celebrations during the evening and night shifts and even the morning shift, including manual and automatic sweeping and washing of floors, sidewalks and sidewalks. The presence of cleaning workers was intensified through 57 equipment throughout the day, with more than 200 tons being lifted from various neighborhoods and residential areas.
