Dr. Jamal Sayed Ahmed, Director General of the Veterinary Medicine Directorate, said In AssiutAs part of the Directorate’s constant endeavor to protect the health of citizens and ensure the quality of what is displayed in the markets, it intensified its oversight efforts, as it implemented an intensive inspection campaign, within the scope of the Abu Tig Department, in cooperation with the Supply Investigations and the Abu Tig Supply Department.
44 kilos of meat and poultry unfit for human consumption were confiscated in Assiut
The campaign aimed to control violations related to the circulation of animal products, and resulted in the confiscation of 44 kilograms of meat, poultry and their derivatives that were not fit for human consumption, and which were offered for sale in unhealthy conditions, posing a direct danger to the health of the consumer. The seized items were seized, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the violators.
Dr. Gamal Sayed Ahmed, Director General of the Veterinary Medicine Directorate in Assiut, explained that these campaigns come within an integrated monitoring plan aimed at enhancing food safety and deterring anyone who would tempt themselves to tamper with the health of citizens, stressing that inspection teams work on a daily basis, and in full coordination with the concerned authorities, to ensure that markets adhere to health and veterinary standards.
He stressed that citizen health is a red line that cannot be crossed, and that it continues to intensify its oversight efforts, calling on citizens to cooperate with inspection teams, within the framework of achieving an effective community partnership aimed at protecting public health.
