Regarding the supplication for storms and winds, the Egyptian Fatwa House stressed the desirability of resorting to supplications and supplication to God when winds and storms intensify, following the example of the Prophet’s Sunnah, and seeking safety and warding off affliction, stressing that the winds are among God’s soldiers that bring mercy sometimes and torment at other times, so it is desirable to ask God for their goodness and seek refuge from their evil.
The General Authority of Meteorology confirmed that the activity of southwesterly winds coming from the Western Desert causes heavy amounts of dust in the northwestern regions of the country, including Matrouh, Dabaa, and El Alamein, in addition to northern and central Upper Egypt and the Bahariya Oasis, with the impact later extending to Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the Canal Cities, North Sinai, and the Red Sea Governorate, amid expectations that visibility will deteriorate to less than 500 meters at times.
