About two months ago, HMD launched the Touch 4G phone, a hybrid device that combines the features of smartphones with the structure of traditional phones. Today, the company returns with a new device aimed at children, which it developed in cooperation with the Norwegian brand Xplora, which is well-known in the children’s smart watch market.

HMD’s XploraOne comes with the same general idea as the Touch 4G, but is clearly focused on ease of use for kids. Although the company has not yet revealed the specifications or price, the design of the device shows a clear similarity to Touch 4G.

The XploraOne has a small touch screen, a front camera for selfies, and a home button on the front. On the back, a single camera sensor appears with an LED flash.

It can also be noted that there is a SIM card port on the left side, while the power and volume control buttons are on the right side. As for the top of the device, it includes an additional button and a 3.5 mm headphones port.

Teaser images show that XploraOne allows making and receiving calls, and sending text and voice messages. The device also provides extensive parental controls, and does not support any third-party applications, internet browser, or social media applications, to ensure a safe environment for children.

HMD and Xplora are expected to share more details about the device in the coming period.
