We are now approaching the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series in the next few months, and full Qi2 support with built-in magnets stands out as one of the most anticipated upgrades.
As a reminder, current Galaxy S25 phones support wireless charging, but they need magnetic covers to properly activate Qi2 features.
However, rumors are starting to confirm that Samsung may finally add magnets to its new phones to keep up with the iPhone 17 and Pixel 10 series.
To further strengthen these expectations, a new magnetic wireless power bank from Samsung has appeared in the Wireless Power Consortium database, bearing the model number EB-U2500.
This device comes as the first wireless power bank from Samsung with built-in magnets, and supports 15-watt Qi2 wireless charging. It is likely to be launched alongside the Galaxy S26 series. The product appears in a light gray color with a magnetic ring that allows it to stick to compatible phones to provide a seamless wireless charging experience.

So far, the HMD Skyline and Google Pixel 10 series are among the few to offer built-in magnets that make full use of Qi2.
Google has also unveiled a range of Qi2.2-compatible Pixelsnap accessories coinciding with the launch of the Pixel 10, putting Samsung one step behind. Although the Korean company is silent about adding magnets to its phones, it is quietly working on developing more Qi2.2 accessories.
Recently, WinFuture spotted a new magnetic wireless charger from Samsung in a store, with support for 25-watt wireless charging, indicating an imminent launch. Although the power bank only offers a capacity of 15 watts, it is expected that it will be able to stick to the Galaxy S26 phones if they actually come with built-in magnets at launch.
