Increased entry visa fees
The Ministry said in a statement that, in recent hours, a number of newspapers and websites have circulated news claiming that Egypt has raised entry visa fees to the country from $25 to $45, as part of legislative amendments to Law No. 175 of 2025 related to imposing a fee for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ buildings.
The Ministry confirmed that this news is completely false, and that no executive decisions have been taken regarding increasing entry visa fees to Egypt, adding that the decisions that have been taken at the present time are only to determine the maximum visa fees and not to implement their increase.
The Ministry stressed that what is being circulated are merely rumours, stressing that any information related to entry visas or other information is announced, as is usual, through official statements issued by the relevant executive authorities in the country.
The Ministry calls on all media outlets and social media users to ensure accuracy and communicate with official authorities before publishing any information in this regard.
