Two people were killed and 11 others were injured as a result of a microbus overturning, today, Friday, on the coastal road in front of Carrefour Al-Orouba, west of Alexandria.
Details of the overturn of a microbus west of Alexandria
The incident occurred when the security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate received a notification from the Rescue Police stating that a microbus had overturned in front of the Orouba Carrefour towards Kilometer 26.
Immediately, the security services, accompanied by ambulances and traffic vehicles, moved to the site of the report and imposed a security cordon around the place to prevent any car collisions and attempt to manage the road, and the necessary legal measures were taken.
Initial inspection revealed that a microbus overturned as a result of a malfunctioning steering wheel, resulting in the death of two people and the injury of 11 others. They were taken to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident and the investigating authorities were notified to begin their investigations into the incident.
Earlier, civil protection forces controlled a fire that broke out inside a scrap warehouse, today, Friday, in the Mandara area of the Montazah neighborhood, east of Alexandria, without injuries.
The incident occurred when the security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate received a notification from the warden of the Montazah Thani Police Department stating that a rescue report had been received about a fire in a scrap warehouse within the department’s district.
