DJI’s Pocket series is widely popular among content creators and technology enthusiasts, due to its compact size and stable shooting performance.

As the three-year anniversary of the launch of Pocket 3 approaches at the end of this year, rumors are mounting about the imminent unveiling of Pocket 4, amid successive leaks over the past period.

Previous leaks indicated the possibility of adopting a two-lens design, one of which is dedicated to zoom, similar to what appeared in some Insta360 cameras and dual imaging systems in DJI drones.

However, the latest leaked video, which includes a quick demo of the device, shows a familiar single-lens design, with some noticeable tweaks. It is not unlikely that the dual design will appear later in the Pocket 4 Pro version.

The video reveals a slightly taller chassis compared to the Pocket 3, with a mysterious button marked with a ‘C’ and a button believed to be for zoom. It also appears that the foldable screen has not seen any obvious changes, nor has the upper gimbal system.

On the other hand, a new element stands out, represented by a built-in LED light near one of the gimbal’s joints. It is an accessory that is not officially available on the current Pocket 3, especially with the “OSMO” sign appearing on the back, which enhances the possibility that it is an original part of the device. The inscription “POCKET 4” also appears on the side of the unit, which supports the credibility of the leak.

The video was posted on thenewcamera.com, with the claim that the filming took place inside a DJI-certified store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after a person carrying the device entered the store. Despite the strangeness of the story, early leaks of unannounced DJI products have previously emerged from Malaysia on previous occasions.

On the software front, the video did not reveal much, as the user interface seemed very familiar. However, a new shooting mode called “SuperPhoto” has appeared with a resolution of 33 megapixels for still photos.

A leaked listing on Amazon Denmark also indicated that the camera will retain a 1-inch sensor, with a noticeable upgrade in video capabilities to reach 4K at 240 frames per second instead of the current limit of 4K@120fps in the Pocket 3. These expectations support the possibility of increased battery capacity, especially considering the increased length of the body.

The same listing stated that the price could range between $550 and $700 depending on the package chosen, which is what is expected for the Asian and European markets.

As for the United States, the price may rise due to customs duties, assuming the device is available there at all, in light of the restrictions imposed on some technical products manufactured outside the country.
