We have recently witnessed several dismantling of the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro, but this time it is the turn of the basic version of the iPhone 17, via a new video from Zach, owner of the JerryRigEverything channel. The video not only shows the disassembly steps, but also reviews the official prices of spare parts revealed by Apple.

Opening the phone begins by unscrewing the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom, which are available from Apple for only $0.18 each.

When replacing the battery, the back cover is heated first, allowing it to open easily like a book, and then a set of additional screws are removed to separate the entire back panel from the device.

It is worth noting that Apple sets a price of $159 to replace the back cover. As for the battery, its cost is $99, and it decreases to only $51 if the old battery is returned to the company.

If the screen needs to be changed, the price reaches $329. The price list also includes $199 for the front camera with Face ID sensor, $169 for the two rear cameras, $67 for the earpiece and 5G mmWave antenna, and $67.08 for the Taptic Engine vibration motor.
