I witnessed Port Said Governorate During the past 24 hours, important events took place, as Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, opened the Welcome Ramadan exhibition, which was held in front of the new Port Said Bazaar on Al-Nasr Street, amid a large turnout from citizens. The sections of the exhibition were inspected and the availability of basic goods of high quality and sufficient quantities was ensured, with real discounts exceeding 25% applied to a number of products, including 2 chickens for 100 pounds, a kilo of rice for 20 pounds, and a kilo of pasta for 20 pounds, a bottle of oil is 60 pounds, a kilo of dates is 35 pounds, 4 jumbo quails are 100 pounds, a kilo of minced meat is 200 pounds, and a kilo of local meat is 300 pounds, while the governor confirmed the continuation of daily monitoring of prices and support of community initiatives that reduce the burden on simple families.

And a contract Governor He held an expanded meeting with the heads of neighborhoods, the head of the city of Port Fouad, and the executive leadership, to follow up on the files of removing occupancies and encroachments on the public road. He directed the intensification of campaigns in the main and secondary streets and taking immediate legal measures against violators, with full coordination with the utility police, and rapid response to citizens’ complaints, in a way that ensures the restoration of discipline and the preservation of the civilized appearance of the city.

The Governor of Port Said also followed up on the preparations of the executive agencies to welcome the month of Ramadan, as he stressed the availability of food supplies and petroleum materials daily, intensifying control over markets and bakeries, ensuring the readiness of hospitals, ambulance facilities and civil protection, ensuring a sufficient stock of blood bags, while increasing the efficiency of public lighting, especially around mosques, continuing cleaning work and removing waste on an ongoing basis, monitoring service stations to prevent exploitation of citizens, and raising the maximum level of preparedness within the national emergency and public safety network around the clock.

The governor met with a number of citizens in an open meeting, during which he listened to complaints and demands, and directed the executive bodies to urgently study the issues raised and take the necessary measures to improve the level of services, stressing the continuation of holding periodic meetings for direct communication with the people, while allowing the submission of interview requests through the technology center or through the electronic link designated for that, and not dealing with unfulfilled requests.

The governor announced the allocation of 24 million and 500 thousand pounds from the governorate to support families in need of care during Ramadan, in addition to 4 million pounds from the Chamber of Commerce, and 13.5 million pounds from Social Solidarity, bringing the total support to 42 million pounds disbursed to deserving families without deducting any fees, with the continuation of distributing 400 breakfast meals daily and distributing Ramadan cartons, while he directed that blood bags be provided to citizens without hassle, and preventing patients or their families from being burdened with the hardship of searching, stressing that A bag of blood could be the difference between life and death.

Increasing the efficiency of the hygiene system

The governor concluded his meetings by emphasizing the need to raise the efficiency of the cleaning system during Ramadan, as he stressed the responsibility of the cleaning company for the beach and parks, calling for improving the level of performance in the internal streets, and stressing that the success of the system depends on full commitment to serving the citizen in all regions without exception, with continued field follow-up to ensure achieving the best level of services for the people of Port Said.
