
Receive Minister of Youth and SportsGawhar Nabil, and Captain Tariq Al-Husseini, President of the Egyptian Arms Federation and the Egyptian Arms Team. At the forefront of the delegation was Captain Ahmed Samir Al-Maidani, Head of the delegation and Vice President of the Federation, following the distinguished performance and exceptional results achieved by the Egyptian champions in the 2026 African Arms Championship for Juniors and Youth under 20, 17 and 15 years old, which was held in Senegal during the period from 16 to 21 February.
The Minister praised the technical level and fighting spirit demonstrated by the male and female national team players, stressing that this great achievement reflects the amount of support that the Egyptian state gives to sports and athletes, and demonstrates the strength of the junior and youth base in the game of weapons, as it is one of the games in which Egypt has a distinguished history and a strong presence at the continental and international levels.
The Minister of Youth and Sports added that Egypt’s lead in the championship with such a large difference in the number of medals confirms the success of the preparation and qualification plans pursued by the Egyptian Arms Federation, wishing for continued excellence and raising the flag of Egypt in various international forums during the coming period.
The national team was able to win 42 various medals, including 22 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 11 bronze medals, to deservedly top the overall rankings table, in an achievement that reflects Egyptian dominance over African weapons at various age levels.
