Telegram has announced the launch of a completely redesigned interface for its Android application, with the aim of making navigation and search faster and smoother. The most notable change comes in the form of a new bottom bar that allows quick switching between chats, settings, profile, and others tabs.
Besides, Telegram has completely rebuilt the interface code to improve efficiency and increase response speed. Users can go to Settings then Power Saving to enhance performance and extend battery life.
On the other hand, iOS users also received notable updates, as Telegram introduced a media viewer with a new design, improved preview panels for sticker packs and emojis, as well as updated contextual menus within profiles and when selecting messages. On iPad, it added a new keyboard shortcut to send messages via ⌘+Enter.
In terms of group management, Telegram has activated the feature of automatic transfer of group ownership, whereby ownership is transferred to one of the moderators a week after the owner leaves the chat. It also displays a confirmation window when you try to leave the group, allowing you to choose a new owner before exiting. Ownership can also be manually transferred to another member without having to leave the chat.
In another update, Telegram introduced a new “Crafting” system that allows you to combine collectible gifts to obtain Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary versions, with unique designs and effects.
The system allows up to four gifts to be added, with the chances of success increasing as the number of combined items increases. Adding gifts with similar characteristics also increases the likelihood that those characteristics will appear in the final item. These gifts can be bought and sold via the in-app gift market.
Telegram did not forget the bot developers, as they can now add emojis and colors to the buttons to improve the clarity of the interfaces or highlight certain actions.
To obtain all these new features, the application must be updated to the latest version via the official store on Android, iPhone, or iPad.
