Engineer Randa El-Minshawy, Minister, held the meeting Housing Utilities and Urban Communities held a meeting with Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund, to follow up on the position of the units of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” and the position of registration on the Digital Egypt platform to obtain alternative housing units for those addressed by the old rental law, in the presence of ministry officials.

During the meeting, the CEO of the Fund reviewed the overall executive position of low-income units within the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” where the implementation of 788,000 housing units has been completed, and the implementation of 216,000 housing units is being completed, in addition to the offering of 36,000 units.
The meeting also discussed the position of implementing the green housing initiative within low-income units, with a total of 54.6 thousand in the fifth and sixth phases, in addition to reviewing the position of the medium housing units being implemented, with a total of 28 thousand housing units, in a number of governorates and new cities.
During the meeting, Engineer Randa Al-Minshawi stressed to the implementation follow-up officials at the Ministry and the Authority the need to intensify field visits to the sites to ensure the speedy completion of the implementation of the housing units and their delivery to the detained citizens at the highest level, in accordance with the established specifications.
The volume of real estate financing for low-income citizens for 670 thousand beneficiaries was also reviewed, with a value of 95 billion pounds (real estate financing) and 10.4 billion pounds (cash support) through 22 banks and 8 financing companies. The volume of real estate financing for middle-income citizens reached a total of 13.3 thousand beneficiaries, with a value of 4.7 billion pounds through 10 banks and 4 financing companies, in addition to reviewing performance indicators and the system of judicial control procedures. For social housing violations.
During the meeting, the Minister followed up on the position of registering citizens through the Egypt Digital Platform, as part of completing the comprehensive database of cases subject to the old rental law, as applications are received until April 12, 2026.
In this regard, the Minister directed the intensification of awareness campaigns and technical support for citizens, to ensure that data is recorded correctly and accurately.
