TP-Link has launched the Tapo C710 2K Pan/Tilt IP65 Floodlight Camera in the US. This model combines a Pan/Tilt security camera with a motion-activated floodlight that delivers up to 1,500 lumens of brightness. Other features include a free feature to detect humans, vehicles and pets using artificial intelligence, and alarms to deter intruders.

The Tapo C710 2K Pan/Tilt IP65 Floodlight Camera is now available in the US. Designed for outdoor use, this smart security camera from TP-Link sub-brand can be used to monitor and illuminate your driveway or yard.

The Tapo C710 camera has a 2K 3MP resolution with tilt and pan capabilities, in addition to color night vision and infrared (IR) mode. It comes with a free AI detection tool, which can identify people, vehicles and pets, and move intelligently to track their movement. Other features include scheduled 360-degree panoramic scans, audio and light alarms to deter intruders, and a two-way talk function.

The camera is located below an adjustable floodlight that can provide a brightness of up to 1,500 lumens at a color temperature of 4,000K. Thanks to a built-in passive infrared (PIR) sensor with a detection angle of up to 165 degrees and a range of 25 feet (about 7.6 metres), the detector can be activated by motion. You can manage the device remotely via the brand’s application, and it also supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. This wired security camera requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, with users able to store video footage locally or in the cloud.

You can now purchase the TP-Link Tapo C710 2K Pan/Tilt IP65 Floodlight Camera for $99.99 from the brand’s online store or via its Amazon storefront. It remains to be seen if or when this smart home product will be launched in Europe.
