For its part, the defense of the businessman accused of assaulting the inmates of the Sheikh Zayed Orphanage, inside his apartment in Heliopolis, revealed the details and behind the scenes of the incident, after his detention was renewed for 45 days pending investigations.
Muhammad Lutfi, defending the first defendant in the orphanage case, said that the incident had no basis in truth, and that his client was a philanthropist who went to one of the orphanages to sponsor a number of young people.
He pointed out that the victims were young men over the age of 18 and not children, as false information had spread through social media.
