Dr. Sherif Farouk held Minister of Supply Internal Trade held an expanded meeting with the Decent Life Foundation delegation, headed by Dr. Buthaina Mustafa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides in the areas of social responsibility, support the most needy groups, and work to transform community initiatives into tangible results that serve citizens on the ground.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Supply in the New Administrative Capital, came within the framework of the state’s efforts to strengthen partnerships between government institutions and community initiatives, in a way that contributes to improving the quality of services provided to citizens and expanding the scope of benefit from social support and development programs.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed a number of important topics aimed at developing joint work, most notably coordinating efforts between the Ministry and the Foundation to develop community initiatives, and working to launch joint programs that contribute to supporting the most needy families, in addition to enhancing training and qualification programs that help improve the standard of living of the target groups.

The meeting also discussed cooperation mechanisms through the Holding Company for Food Industries, affiliated with the Ministry of Supply, in the field of preparing and preparing food parcels and cartons that are distributed to families in need, ensuring the provision of basic needs to citizens in an organized and sustainable manner. The meeting also touched on the possibility of offering purchase coupons by the Ministry of Supply for the benefit of the Decent Life Foundation, to study the mechanisms for distributing them to eligible groups, in order to achieve the highest degree of efficiency in targeting beneficiaries and ensuring that support reaches those who deserve it.

The proposed cooperation also included studying the supply of meat, poultry, and basic commodities to Hayat Karima Foundation’s outlets at reasonable prices, within the framework of the state’s efforts to reduce the economic burdens on citizens, especially in light of global economic challenges, in addition to joint coordination in the field of sacrificial instruments, which contributes to expanding the base of beneficiaries and maximizing the use of the capabilities available to both sides.

The meeting also stressed the importance of exchanging databases between the Ministry of Supply and the Decent Life Foundation, which would enhance the accuracy of targeting the most needy groups, and contribute to raising the efficiency of the support system and ensuring that aid reaches its true beneficiaries, in a way that achieves social justice and enhances the efficiency of social protection programs.

The Minister of Supply confirmed during the meeting that the Ministry is keen to strengthen the partnership with various community institutions and initiatives that aim to support society, noting that cooperation with the Decent Life Foundation comes within the framework of the Ministry’s vision to expand the base of community participation and enhance the culture of shared responsibility between the state and society. He also stressed the importance of continuing coordination between the two sides to transform the plans and proposals presented into applicable executive programs that achieve tangible results for citizens.

For its part, the leaders of the Decent Life Foundation expressed their appreciation for the Ministry of Supply’s keenness to develop joint work mechanisms, stressing the importance of integrating efforts between government institutions and community initiatives in implementing development programs aimed at improving the standard of living of citizens, especially in the villages and areas most in need.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue coordination during the coming period to enhance joint cooperation and activate initiatives that support the most needy groups, in line with the state’s directions to achieve sustainable development and enhance efforts to build the new republic, with an emphasis on benefiting from the capabilities available to all parties to achieve a tangible positive impact on the lives of citizens.
