OnePlus launched the OnePlus Open globally in late 2023. With users anticipating a new version, the company later confirmed that there are no plans to launch the OnePlus Open 2 during 2025. It now appears that this trend may also continue in 2026.
Over the past weeks, multiple reports have revealed possible specifications for the upcoming Oppo Find N6 foldable phone. Since OnePlus has been re-introducing some Oppo phones to global markets, some expected the OnePlus Open 2 to come as a rebranded version of the Find N6.
But according to leaker Yogesh Brar, it seems that this scenario will not happen, as the OnePlus Open 2 has been canceled and its launch has become unlikely.

Although the reason for the cancellation was not directly explained, the decision is likely due to Oppo’s plans to launch the Find N6 globally itself. With this approach previously adopted with the Find N5, the presence of the OnePlus Open 2 becomes pointless, especially with the similar phones and relying on the same foundation.
This device is not the only one that is vulnerable to cancellation, as leaks also indicate that the OnePlus 15s phone faces a high probability of not being launched.
Reports show that the company is reconsidering its strategy to reintroduce some models, which may lead to reducing the number of derivative versions during the coming period.
