The next-generation OnePlus flagship phone, expected to be called the OnePlus 16, has appeared in a new leak. It indicates that the device may feature thinner edges than the OnePlus 15 phone.
The OnePlus 15 was launched globally in November 2025 and features a 6.78-inch POEX 3 display. One of the most prominent features of the screen is a refresh rate of 165 Hz, up from 120 Hz on the OnePlus 13 phone.
A new leak from leaker Old Chen Er has now appeared on the Chinese social networking site Weibo, revealing a key feature of the OnePlus 16 screen. According to the leak, the OnePlus 16 may have edges measuring less than 1 mm. For clarity, the edges of the OnePlus 15 screen measure 1.15 mm.
The leak does not reveal additional details about the display. However, previous leaks indicate that the OnePlus 16 may feature a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz.
Other rumored specifications include a 9,000 mAh battery and Qualcomm’s flagship 6th generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Unlike the recently launched Echo 15 Ultra, the OnePlus 16 is rumored to ditch the shoulder buttons and built-in cooling fan.
The rear camera setup is expected to include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.56-inch sensor. The OnePlus 16 phone is likely to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2026, similar to the launch schedule of its predecessor, the OnePlus 15 phone, which is currently available at $899 on Amazon. Before that, the company is expected to launch a new compact flagship phone, the OnePlus 15S.
