Apple has already begun offering the first beta version of iOS 26.3, just a few days after the launch of iOS 26.2. The new version carries a group of important additions, most notably a completely new tool for transferring data to Android devices, in addition to the notification redirection feature.

Through iOS 26.3, Apple introduced the Transfer to Android tool, which allows you to easily transfer data from an iPhone to an Android phone. The tool supports transferring applications, photos, contacts, messages, and other data, by connecting the two devices on the same Wi-Fi network.

The main advantage here is that the tool is integrated directly into the iOS system, without the need to download any additional applications.

Apple also added the Notification Forwarding feature, which is one of the most notable changes in this update, but it is currently only available within European Union countries. This feature allows third-party wearable devices to receive iPhone notifications. It can be activated through the path:

Settings > Notifications > Notification Forwarding

After activating the feature, the user can specify which applications are allowed to send notifications to wearable devices. However, the feature currently only works with one device, which means that if the Apple Watch is connected to the phone, notifications will not be sent to another device.

This change comes in direct response to the European Union’s Digital Markets Act, which forced Apple to open the iOS notification system to third parties.

The update also saw a new addition to the customization level, as the Weather Wallpaper got a separate section within the lock screen customization settings.

Apple is expected to release the final version of iOS 26.3 next January.
