After weeks of beta testing, Apple officially launched the iOS 26.2 update to all iPhone users, bringing with it a group of new features and noticeable improvements at the level of applications, design, and the system as a whole.

The update added a much-needed feature to the Reminders app, where it is now possible to mark a reminder as “urgent,” which will set an automatic alarm when it comes to ensure you don’t forget it.

Apple has clearly improved the Apple Music experience, as displaying song lyrics is now available offline, with support for translation and real-time synchronization, in addition to facilitating access to the favorites list and ensuring that new releases are played as soon as they are released.

The company developed the Apple Podcasts application by generating automatic chapters for episodes using artificial intelligence, while adding the “Mentions” feature that allows you to follow the podcasts mentioned directly within the episode.

Regarding design, Apple continued to improve the Liquid Glass interface, adding a new bar to the lock screen to control the transparency of the watch, along with smoother animation in the menus and controls.

In terms of CarPlay, the update improved the messaging experience by disabling pinned conversations, and also expanded support for tool packages in some cars.

Within the European Union, iOS 26.2 expanded support for simultaneous translation via AirPods, but in return it canceled the synchronization of Wi-Fi networks between the iPhone and Apple Watch in compliance with the Digital Markets Law.

In general, the update focused on practical improvements, small but impactful features, as well as security fixes that are recommended to be installed as soon as possible.
