IKEA has unveiled three new Solskydd smart speakers, designed in collaboration with Tekla Evelina Severin, known as Teklan. The company explained that it sought to provide practical products that users do not feel the need to hide.
The Solskydd headphones come in a round shape and are available in three sizes: small (8 inches), medium (11 inches), and large (18 inches). All versions support Bluetooth connectivity, allowing music or podcasts to be played from a phone, tablet or laptop.
Multiple speakers can also be linked together for a more immersive audio experience, in addition to supporting the Spotify Tap feature, which allows users to quickly resume music or create a new playlist based on listening history.
The small version has a single 2.5-inch driver that sounds up to 80.5 dB, features a checkered orange pattern, and can be hung on the wall or placed on a flat surface using the included base. This is the only portable version in the group, as it provides a battery life of up to 25 hours.

As for the medium version, it contains a 1-inch speaker and a 4-inch woofer, reaching a maximum sound power of 83.6 decibels. This version comes with an electric cord, features green, brown and beige diagonal lines, and can be hung or placed independently.
The large version contains a 1-inch speaker and two 3-inch tweeters, reaching 93.6 decibels of sound power. It is a wired version that must be mounted on the wall, covered with a textured orange fabric, and can be attached to a screen. All Solskydd headphones have buttons on the outer plastic casing, while the two larger versions offer three EQ modes. The company also announced simple white versions for those who prefer a simple and minimalist design.
According to IKEA, the Solskydd smart speakers will be available in December 2025, and are expected to arrive in the US in January 2026. The small version will be priced at $79.99, while the medium version will retail for $99.99, and the large version will retail for $139.99.
