During CES 2026, HP revealed the updated version of the HyperX Omen Max 16 gaming computer, which does not bet on lightness as much as it focuses on high performance and leading specifications.
The company allows the computer to be equipped with new processors from Intel and AMD, and although the models have not been officially announced, the AMD version is likely to reach the Ryzen AI 9 HX 475, while the Intel version relies on high-performance Panther Lake processors.
In this context, the Intel version supports the Nvidia RTX 5090 Laptop card, which raises the total power consumption to 300 watts.
HP allows the Intel version to be equipped with up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory at 5600 MT/s, while the AMD version is satisfied with a maximum of 48 GB. To ensure stable performance under pressure, the company redesigned the cooling system and enhanced the user experience with a keyboard with a high response rate.
The screen is one of the most prominent elements of power, as the computer can be equipped with an OLED panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, with a response time of 0.2 ms and an HDR brightness of up to 1100 nits.
In addition, the device supports a rich set of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 ports in the Intel and AMD versions.
Other specifications include support for PCIe 5 storage up to 2TB, an 83 Wh battery, and a dual sound system powered by DTS:X Ultra. Until now, HP has not revealed the official price, and the updated HyperX Omen Max 16 will be released in the market during the spring of 2026.
