Honor officially unveiled the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design phone in China alongside the Magic8 Pro Air, expanding the Magic lineup that already includes the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro phones that were launched last October.
The new phone maintains the identity of the RSR Porsche Design series, as Honor inspired its design from Porsche supercars, with a nano-ceramic back, which the company says provides a hardness of up to 8.5 on the Mohs scale.
In addition, the phone has become 10% lighter compared to the previous generation, while the design of the camera unit was inspired by the famous matrix lights in classic Porsche cars.
Honor adopted a 6.71-inch quad-curved LTPO AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, with a maximum HDR brightness of up to 6000 nits. The screen also supported Dolby Vision and high-frequency PWM dimming at a rate of 4320 Hz, while being protected by Giant Rhino Glass.
The company powered the phone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with options of up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage space. The device runs on Android 16 with the Magic UI 10.0 interface supported by a set of artificial intelligence features.

In terms of photography, Honor provided the phone with a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and an f/1.6 lens aperture with support for optical stabilization. It added a 50-megapixel wide camera with a 122-degree viewing angle with support for macro photography, along with a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/2.6 lens aperture with optical stabilization and 3.7x optical zoom.
Honor indicated that the phone achieved the first CIPA 6.5 rating for image stabilization, with support for the AiMAGE color engine and the possibility of using an external telephoto lens with a focal length of 200 mm from Nox.
As for the front camera, it came with a resolution of 50 megapixels inside a capsule-shaped opening, with the inclusion of a 3D depth camera to support the face unlock feature.
The company provided the phone with a huge battery with a capacity of 7200 mAh, with support for fast charging of 120 watts wired and 80 watts wirelessly.
Other specifications also included a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an infrared port, and water and dust resistance standards IP68, IP69, and IP69K, in addition to support for 5G networks, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC. The phone weighs 239 grams with a thickness of 8.45 mm.
