Google has begun gradually moving Google Keep reminders to Google Tasks, following last month’s announcement. So far, the change has appeared on only one of several accounts tested, while the company indicates that the full rollout will be completed during the second half of 2025.

When the change reaches your device, a message will appear stating that the reminders are now in Google Tasks.

When you tap the bell icon within Keep, the reminder will be saved directly to Tasks with the timing options remaining the same. However, the move removed support for location-based reminders, as Tasks does not provide this feature, and the location is moved only as part of the task description.

Once created, reminders appear within the Google Tasks app as well as in Google Calendar with a From Keep tag, and the note can be opened directly from within each service. Although the Reminders page remains within Keep, the application will no longer send notifications, as the task of notifications is now moved to Calendar or Tasks.

The reminder time can be edited from Keep, Tasks, or Calendar, but the reminder title itself must be edited from Tasks or Calendar only.

Google points out some restrictions during the transfer process, such as a maximum of 100,000 tasks, shortening long titles, moving old reminders to a separate list, in addition to adjusting the dates of reminders that exceed the year 3000.
