Google revealed via a post on Reddit that the Android 17 Beta 1 update will soon reach users, bringing bug fixes along with improvements in performance and system stability.
Users currently enrolled in the Android Beta program will automatically receive the update once it is rolled out. According to a previous report, Android 17 has the internal codename Cinnamon Bun.
Users who do not wish to install the trial version should exit the program at this time. To avoid data loss, you must ignore the update called Downgrade and wait until the stable version of Android 16 QPR3 is released.
If you install Android 17 Beta and then later want to withdraw without wiping the device data, you will have to wait until the end of the beta cycle, which is expected to be around June.
The stable version of Android 17 is expected to arrive during the second quarter of 2026, accompanied by multiple improvements and new gaming-oriented features, in addition to additional system-level developments.
