Agence France-Presse reported that Istanbul Airport announced the cancellation of all flights to Tehran on Friday evening.
This comes as US President Donald Trump said that he may have to use force against Iran, while Western embassies evacuated their employees from all over the region.
The US President told reporters at the White House that he was not satisfied with the Islamic Republic’s position after negotiations failed to achieve a breakthrough, but said more talks would take place.
Use of military force
Asked if he wanted to use military force, Trump said he didn’t, but sometimes it was necessary.
During the past hours, Britain closed its embassy in Iran, and other countries urged their diplomatic employees to evacuate the region.
Nine refueling trucks arrived at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport overnight, adding to the massive buildup of US military forces in the area.
