Garmin is rolling out software version 13.25 for some of its smartwatches. This update addresses an issue with the recently added “Smart Wake Alarm” feature. Additionally, this update brings the Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Instinct Crossover watches an update to translations.
Garmin has released a new stable update for the Instinct 3, Instinct Crossover, and Instinct E smartwatches. This is a relatively minor release for these wearables, arriving just a few days after the release of version 13.24.
With Garmin System Software 13.25, users of these Instinct smartwatches get a fix for a bug related to the “Smart Wake Up Alarm” to prevent possible malfunctions. This tool, which was pushed to these devices in the 13.24 update, can be used to intelligently adjust the wake-up time based on your sleep cycles. Instead of setting a precise time, users choose a 30-minute wake-up window, with the smartwatch using health data to detect the optimal time to emit the sound, to avoid feeling lethargic (grogginess).

This is not the only change in stable version 13.25; It also includes an update to the translation of the Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) app. As a reminder, the previous 13.24 update brought “Treadmill Walk” activity and “Morning Report” customization options to Instinct 3 and Instinct E users. In addition, the Instinct Crossover (currently priced at $299.99 on Amazon) received new watch face designs.
At the time of writing, the 13.25 system software has been pushed out to about 20% of Garmin Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Instinct Crossover smartwatch users. It is meant to be pushed to wearable devices automatically when they connect to the Garmin Connect mobile app or Garmin Express computer software.
