Garmin has released a new update for several of its older high-end smartwatches, and beta 26.02, the first of its kind, introduces a new feature while addressing several outstanding bugs.

Garmin has begun a new software review for older high-end watches such as the Enduro 2, Fenix 7, and Quatix 7 (currently priced at $339.99 on Amazon). As a reminder, it has been less than a month since the company introduced System 25.11 with more than a dozen improvements over System 23.48, and as is often the case, Garmin returned with a new beta version instead of moving directly to a new stable version.

Specifically, the company is now offering beta version 26.02 to participants in its Beta Program. Please note that this update disables the ECG function, and Garmin typically re-enables ECG only when it is ready to move beta development to the stable software branch, and based on past performance, Garmin may not start offering stable v26.xx releases until spring.

Meanwhile, beta 26.02 offers some glimpses of what’s to come in the future stable update v26.xx. For example, Garmin has added support for the Rally 110 and Rally 210 pedals. Additionally, Garmin claims to have resolved four lingering bugs, which are listed below, and Garmin will be offering beta 26.02 via Connect Mobile as an over-the-air (OTA) update.

Change history in beta 26.02:

Added support for “Rally 110/210”.

Fixes an issue where GPS settings assigned to certain activity profiles were not saved.

Fixed an issue where the compass calibration tutorial video was sometimes not displayed.

Fixed the problem of the “Stages” power meter not pairing sometimes.

Fixes an issue where the watch face incorrectly switches to battery saving mode sometimes.
